    Default Suddenly Not getting email notifications after an order

    I have had my website set up since October and have had no issues, and I have bee receiving emails all the while. The last few days, I am not receiving email notifications when an order is placed.

    I receive an email notification from PayPal saying I received money, but no email from the website. When I go into "orders" in admin, the order is there.

    Again, this issue just started and I have made no changes to anything and no add ons version 1.3.9f

    Thanks for any and all help.

    When something "suddenly" stops working, you need to determine who changed what. maybe something with your hosting company? Maybe something with your server getting blacklisted from email handling? Lots of areas you and your hosting company can investigate.

    You can start with all kinds of things mentioned all over the forums.

    Like your site's /cache/myDebug-xxxx.log files in case there are problems being reported there. https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=82

    And as I mentioned, talk to your hosting company: if *they* changed something on your server, then you need to ask *them* about that. Most likely they'll deny it, but some persistence usually exposes that they've changed something.

    And as I said earlier, look into whether your server's been blacklisted by the email systems. Your hosting company will have to be involved there too, so talk to them. http://www.zen-cart.com/wiki/index.p...Email_Problems

    Did you ask your customers whether they got the emails? Have you tried placing a test order from another computer using another email address?

    Oh, and did I mention to talk to your hosting company?

    PayPal Website Payments Standard - IPN
    System has been set up for a number of years. Updated to 1.3.9h in August 2010.


    On 3-22-11 the PayPal stopped rerouting customers back to the store.

    “The PayPal prompt states that if you are not redirected in 10 seconds press here.”

    Previously the customer did not have to "Press Here" to return to the store.

    Apparently the customers aren’t reading the “Press Here” because if you press here you are redirected back to the store and everything is OK.

    Transactions are clearing PayPal but the customer is not being redirected back to the store and the order conformations are not being updated in the store database.

    Any suggestions?

    Sorry. Wrong store. The store affected is running ZC 1.3.9f

    Use Express Checkout instead, since it doesn't rely on the customer to click to return to your store. It's much more efficient than the bolt-on approach PayPal used when they made the Website Payments Standard product years ago.

    I'm running ver 1.3.9h and the same thing happened to me about the the same time. It would be interesting to know if we have the same hosting company.
    I am also not receiving emails through the "Contact" link I have on my site.

    Just finished talking with my host and they swear that have made no changes.
