    Default EasyPopulate Add-on

    Dear all,

I have some problems to understand the EasyPopulate Add-on.

I have been able to complete the installation..

But,let's say I want to update products' prices..

First,I download the 'Download Model/Price/Qty tab-delimited .txt file to edit'.

My 1st issue is: How do I change the price of products? I have to do it manually, rite??

I did change a price manually and I save the file in the temp folder and I upload it through Admin Panel in the Command 'Upload EP File'..

I got error message 'No model field in record. This line was not imported'..

How must I make it work??

    Thanks

    Liizz

I got error message 'No model field in record.
    From the wiki
    Essential Data in the spreadsheet
    v_products_model

With Easy Populate Standard, the key identifier of a product data-set is the MODEL NUMBER (Product code, SKU), and whenever you use Easy Populate (to ADD or UPDATE data), there has to be a value in the v_products_model field.
So if you do not have a model number for each of your items you can not effectively use easy populate...

Liz Did you add EOREOR as your last column?
If you open file with "open office calc " you can mass adjust price column Nick

Libertyguy wats the purpose of 'EOREOR'?

There exists this column as the last one when I open those tab-delimited text files.

Are those tab-delimited text files created based on the order of the tables in PhpmyAdmin.

I added a column in PhpmyAdmin which will keep the original prices of products..

Must I download the file and add the required column in my Excel..

    How must I do it??

    Suggestions PLZ

    Thanks

    Thanks kobra..

But how to make the price updates??

After importing the data from the tab-delimited text file into Excel, I just need to change the prices for products and save it and prices will be adjusted..

Is it right wat I did??
