Check Out Issues with FedEx Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error.

On March 14th my website www.e x t r e m e g u n c a r e.com lost the ability to check out. I was not aware of this till March 31. I assume the date March 14th because on March 13th I did receive an order and was processed. I noticed an order on March 30th that was not processed.

Now you can access the entire website but when it comes to check out you get Error 324 (net::ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE): Unknown error.

My hosting says everything is fine on their end. My cc account says everything is fine on their end. I had not changed any php files.

I just don't understand how this can happen or how to resolve the issue.

I figured it out, after talking with my hosting account and the company I had purchased the template from...I am the one that figured out the issue. Numerous hours had been spent on the phone and talking with both companies.

Here is the issue. If you are using FedEx Shipping Module, you may want to "False" the two modules if you ever have check out issues. Apparently FedEx Shipping Module will not allow anyone to check out if there ever becomes an issue with your shipping module and FedEx information. I went ahead and discontinued FedEx since USPS tends to always be cheaper and that my patrons have utilize since the installation of USPS.

Damn FedEx! grrrr.
