New to Zen Cart. Just got my site up and running.
Here's some background:
Zen Cart v 1.3.8a fresh install
PHP Version 4.4.9
I have the USPS patch from Jan '11 installed
Website hosted by GoDaddy
Using Authorize.net as my credit card gateway
I've tested the cart using several shipping addresses while in live mode, including international addresses, all worked as expected, then voided the transaction in Authorize.net. So I'm fairly confident the cart should work.
Had a customer call today saying he got both these error messages when trying to check out (It would have been my first sale through Zen Cart):
"We are unable to find a USPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address"
and
"We are unable to find a UPS shipping quote suitable for your mailing address"
I did some sleuthing in the customer files and discovered the customer only entered four digits in the zip code field when he registered. I'm guessing this is what returned the message about unable to find a shipping quote for both UPS and USPS shipping methods.
Shouldn't there be an error check routine to check for a minimum of five digits in U.S. zip codes? And then a prompt to the customer to enter a valid zip code? Or possibly there is a patch I can apply to my two year old version of Zen Cart?
I searched the FAQs but didn't see anything regarding this problem.
