    Default ePDQ Order ID problem

    Hello,
I'm having an issue with the ePDQ module. After some hassle, I've been able to redirect the order to epdq, and back. Unfortunately it says that the payment has been declined.
This is caused by the order ID not being generated everytime, so the same order ID is being used.

Barclaycard support told me that I have to make the module generate a new order ID everytime. But how do I do that?
I couldn't figure it out by looking at the ePDQ files

I'm using Zencard 1.3.9h freshly installed, without addons apart from ePDQ.

    Thanks if you can help

The ePDQ payment system provided by Barclays is a complete load of old s**t.

Kuroi tried to provide an updated ePDQ module but, as far as I am aware, gave up on it in 2008. It's certainly not rated for Zen Cart 1.3.9+ and I can't see anyone wanting to touch it.

The module can only generate a new order id each time (increment) if the order is pre-recorded in the database before people leave the site to go to Barclays. The Pay Pal IPN module does this, but not ePDQ.

Do yourself one huge favour - dump ePDQ and use Sage Pay Form instead - easy to integrate and it works.

I will listen to your suggestion even if it doesn't solve my issue :)
    Thank you! :)

I speak as someone who has worked with ePDQ before! Admittedly that was with the osCommerce ePDQ module, which I eventually managed to get to work - but not before my head made several large holes in the nearest wall

Zen Cart has moved on a great deal but was originally based on osCommerce, so it's usually possible to port payment modules between the two, with some adjustment - but not ePDQ.

I know my advice doesn't solve your problem directly, but ditching ePDQ will solve your problem completely.

I had this same problem in '08 as well- Barclaycard took my money BUT didn't want to (or couldn't) help in any way to integrate it- they even claimed they hadn't heard of Zen Cart They are trying to get my business again but seeing as nothing with them has changed, I'll give it a miss
