Default Attributes Drop down menu --PLEASE HELP

Ok I am in need of some help here.

I have the Attributes set up on some pages pages of my store that allow my customers to choose from items based on upgrading/customizing an item.

But on other pages I would like to have a drop down menu instead of the check boxes.

    EXE:
    Check box page

    http://www.midnightcues.com/store/in...roducts_id=535

What I want to BE ABLE TO DO here is add a drop down menu with whatever item from what exists on the above page link.

Where they would be able to choose IN A DROP DOWN and then click the add to cart. and it adds that item with the updated price.

    exe; Drop down menu item:

    http://www.midnightcues.com/store/in...roducts_id=314

What I want to be able to do here is when my customers choose whatever oz weight and whatever shaft size that it will be added to the check out page. (There are no fees that would change the price on this section.) But would rather have it set up this way so when the customer does make a purchase, they wont have to type in as it states "Please specify the weight and shaft options in the box "Special Instructions or Comments About Your Order" when you place your order. If left blank, it delays your order."

When I do try to pick the drop down menu option in the admin area. It just doesn't make it a drop down menu.

Is this something that has to be coded in the PHP pages on my server.

If anyone knows how to do this please explain it as simple as you can. I am not new to zen cart. There are just some things I dont fully understand the way this software works.

And my book just tells me how to set up and doesnt tell me how to correct this. To what I am wanting to do.

Maybe there is a mod for this. If there is what would that mod be named?!!!!!!!!!!! That way I can have my host tech support install it for me.

    Thanks in advance.

The drop is selected when in the option name manager and it requires more than one option value assigned to it to make it a drop

Try this tutorial and there a basically 3 steps

    Defining Option Names
    Defining Option Values
Adding the Attributes to the Products

    Maybe this will be better
