Show expensive products on home page

I don't like the way featured products is listed on my home page (without the description, buy now button, etc) so...
is there a way to display the most expensive products only on my home page under "new products for xxx"? Thank You.

It's probably possible to set a "conditional" in the PHP to show new products only if their price is greater than a specified value. You would use an IF statement... but don't ask me how to code it! That's for someone else.

As a general matter, centerboxes don't have buy buttons on them because not all products can be bought outside of the product info page (if they have attributes, for example, they cannot), so then you'd have some with and others without buy buttons, so the formatting would be tricky, etc. etc.

You could certainly use includes/languages/english/html_includes/YOUR_TEMPLATE/tpl_main_page.php to create a custom view of a few specific products, perhaps with detail information and a buy button.

If you look at my site www.info-tech-trade.co.uk I would like to always show my most expensive items on my home page but listed like they are under 'new products for'. I've looked into customizing 'featured products' but don't have the skills so I could get help to unrandomize the 'new products?
