How do I make sure links open on same page when developing in Swish?

Usually when you click on a product link the page opens within same window/tab.

I am using Swish, a Flash creation tool and within the flash I have links so that when the user clicks on a slide/object it goes to that product or category.

The problem I am having is this: These links are opening in a new window or a new tab. I want my flash links to behave as the other links in zen-cart, to open in the same window/tab, so the user doesn't have confusion and too many tabs/windows open.

I have tried leaving the Target attribute at its default which is '_self' or just leaving that attribute out as the default behavior is '_self', but it still wants to open the link in a new tab in both Chrome and Firefox.

How can I ensure those links open within the same window/tab across IE, Chrome and Firefox in the same way that zen-cart handles this?

There is not a question of a Swish problem. I meant I am wondering what zen-cart does in their code that causes links to open in the same window. I have tried different target attributes. _self opens a new tab but without tabs it should do as it describes, open in the same frame or window, _blank would only open a new window which is not what I am wanting. Just wondering what Zen-cart does in their code which causes it to stay in same window.

I don't believe it's anything that Zen Cart "does"; it may be something about Flash or the Swish tool that by default behaves the way you are seeing, which is different from HTML standard.
