No ZC pages are loading after FirstData test on GoDaddy

Yesterday, we finished setting up our Zen Cart web store. After setting up the payment module, gateway and running some test numbers given to us by FirstData Global Gateway API our site shut down and we cannot load any pages in the store. We can log on to the admin page.

We can log on to the admin page. Other than this payment module test we had made no other recent changes to the site and pages were loading normally. Other modules we have installed are: EZpop, Multiple categories link manager, ups shipping.

The only mods I have made (other than CSS and changes through the admin login) are to the tplheader.php in order to place the ezpages bar directly under the header with the top level categories under it. Again, the site was running as expected and none of these changes were recent.

I viewed FirstData's troubleshooting page in the Zen Cart forums. I, then sent a message to GoDaddy to verify that cUrl was enabled and that port 1129 was open.

They sent this message:
Curl is working however you can't use it with a proxy. port 1129 is not open. You will need to configure your software to run on either port 80 or 443.

I also reviewed permissions on all files and folders according to the forums and was not able to find an issue there.

If this problem is due to the port not being open or the cURL proxy issue, I will need to change servers. If it is something else, I need to locate it.

Yes ,you need to move to a more conventional host. GoDaddy will not work for your needs, and indeed is generally not well-suited for dynamically-driven ecommerce sites anyway.

I have just come across this issue with my site. Is there anyway to change the port 1129? I just spoke with GoDaddy and they said that they can't open that port on their servers. So is the outcome from this that if your site is on the GoDaddy servers and your using Zen Cart then FirstData is a no go?

Correct. GoDaddy is an inferior host for ecommerce activities. And, to your specific question, they are NOT compatible with FirstData.
