    Default File Permissions and FTP

I was hooking up my SSL. I did things correct but noticed a problem of not being able to access my store or admin. 404 pages.

After thinking about it for a while, I discovered when I changed chmod, it must have changed the entire directory of the store.

What should the store dir permissions be?

Using the ftp program to chmod, it has the little check boxes
for read, write, execute.... 3 under each topic. so what needs to be checked and what's not checked?

Default Re: File Permissions and FTP

Use a test directory on your local with one php file in it

FTP that dir to your server

Check the dir permissions and the contained file permissions

These are the ones set and expected for most all cases on your server
