I've been using many carts over the years. Recently I'm thinking Zen Cart will be a good choice, however there seems to be one feature that is missing, and I need someone to help me find a solution.

In my old cart (Miva) I had an option to offer a Instant Coupon that would let anyone enter a coupon on the product page, this discount would then appear in the cart. I can do the same with SunShop just fine, with a little bit of Ajax on a landing page.

Now, I'm trying to do this with ZenCart and people keep telling me it's not possible, or it cannot be done, etc, etc. As a programmer, I know that's not true .

So, has anyoe done it, or can you pleaes provide me a quote on how much it would cost to do it? It cannot be that difficult, and it would certainly help attract more sales by showing the customer the coupon in the cart, before they checkout.
