Download button missing please help!!!

Hi,

I am a complete newbie here and apologise in advance if I am posting this in the wrong place, I have set up the newest version of zen cart and xampp successfully and all is working locally via the apache server, I am trying to set up a downloadable audio track, I have followed the book and have come unstuck until now, I am not getting the download button, I have viewed the source but can't find button_download.gif in there and can't find a solution here, could this be why??, the file status is showing green which tells me the filenames, folder locations and attributes are correct, I have found lots of threads on this but they have been solved with things I have already done, any help would be much appreciated as I am fast running out of paracetamol , thanks in advance,

What is the Order status for the Order that you tested with the download?

If you edit the Order, do you see the Download(s) listed with their filenames and days and counts?

Hi ajeh,

I have set the order to delivered, #3 I think, I can see the file/file size listed on the download screen once I have logged back in as test customer, I get the message click on download button and save as, but no button, I saw your post from a previous thread asking if button_download.gif was in the source code, I have checked this and button_download.gif isn't there could this be the problem? Could you go to your Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... and in the bottom input box enter:
BUTTON_IMAGE_DOWNLOAD

and select Catalog and click Search ...

What comes up on the results?

C:/xampp/xampp/htdocs/store/includes/templates/template_default/templates/tpl_modules_downloads.php

And do you see the button in your directory:
/includes/templates/template_default/buttons/english/

or, in your templates and overrides directory, if using it for:
/includes/templates/your_template_dir/buttons/english/

if so, reload the button_download.gif to ensure that it is not corrupt or damaged ...

Ahh I have just noticed there is a blank field under "link expires" on the dl page, any help??

Hi ajeh, sorry for wasting your time, I had set the quantity to 10000 to be safe, I have reduced it to 10 now, resubmitted an order and now the link is there, I'm very grateful for your time anyway
