zen has no lower levels of backend access so I have written an interface outside of zen itself that allows our shipper to see orders, ship them and update orders_status_history with tracking information.

I need to send that info off to the customer. It would be acceptable to use a cron job or put it in the shipper update code.

Where is there good code in the core of zen for me to use as a model?
