Default Backup database restore on a new site

Hi, I've been putting off upgrading to 1.3.9 for quite a while, so i have finally done it on locally and installed the demo products.
I have also implemented all the changes so it mirrors my store.

One of my questions is how do i restore my backup DB into the new one? The backup DB being 1.3.8 and the other 1.3.9.

After i have got the whole thing working, can i just upload to server overwriting everything, first copying the configure files and the image folder?
Or, create a new folder and upload there?
What about SSL? As the path to the store would have change.

    What to do?

Thanks in advance for your assistance

There's a complete guide for what you're looking for in the installation package of v.1.3.9.

    Good luck!

Hi, yes, i've read it many times, but still unsure about certain things.
Like, if i upload to a new folder, what do i set the SSL to, in the configure file?

I think you may have the SSL settings (path) from your host. They should be able to help if you ask!

Thanks for directing me to the relevant info.
i've managed to restore my live store Db to my local 1.3.9 store, so
i have made some progress. I think i am more than half way there.
At the moment i am trying to sort out the zonetable in my shipping, module. I don't know why i have not got it in my override temp.
It should be there, shouldn't it?

Thanks in advance for all your assistance
