Having now aworking on-line shop for Steam Engine Driver Experience Courses working very well management have asked me to set up sales of tickets for our special events.

The initial idea is to sell tickets which are held for collection.
Payment by PayPal only. Customers present their 'receipt' in order to collect tickets.

My concern is that the 'receipt' can be printed multiple times and then presented for collection by the buyer and any 'friends' he also gives copies of the 'receipt' to.

At the ticket office we will have laptop with on-line connection so that each 'receipt' can be checked and a comment added 'collected' which can be checked before issuing tickets to ensure no duplicates are issued - but on a busy day thats sounds time consuming, and does not necessarily guarantee that only the 'purchaser' receives the tickets.

Self print tickets would be nice as a 'download' document but they could also easily becopied

Anyone any thoughts or guidance to offer - or -(wishfully thinking) an already available 'add on'.

Ideally receipts or self print tickets would have a unique barcode and an admin app linked to a barcode scanner would do the checking and marking of tickets at collection. Now there's an idea for an add-on I would behappy to work with anyone who feels like having a go - sadly my coding skills are more control systems oriented than web-app.
