Store Launch

I apologize if this has been discussed a thousand times before but I have searched for days for the answer and have yet to find it.

I do not know how to launch my store. I have a temporary index page to announce my store was down for renovations but I do not know how to take the public_html home page and have it come up as my home page.

Yes, I am kind of an idiot so if it is blazingly obvious, please help and point me to where I can find out how to open my store.

Not exactly sure what you mean. Is Zencart installed in the root directory (public_html) rather than in a subdirectory ? If so, all you should have to do is remove any index.html file from that directory and Zencart should load when a visitor navigates to your domain.
