Extras Admin Menu Item - can I remove or add to it?

Hi All,
I've been looking around and searching the forums for extras, admin menu extras etc but cannot find an answer to my question.

I would like to remove the options in the Extras menu item ( i.e Music Genres, etc ) as my client has no real need of them. I'm not really sure what they are for really. Looked through the wiki for Admin Menu Items but it didn't really explain very well the uses of the Extras.

In Zen Cart v1.3.x ...

If you peek in the:
/your_secret_admin/includes/boxes

you will see several files that end in:
_dhtml.php

The Extra menu is:
extras_dhtml.php

you can add on to it by making your own files such as:
/your_secret_admin/includes/boxes/extra_boxes/product_music_extras_dhtml.php

you could add:
/your_secret_admin/includes/boxes/extra_boxes/fred_extras_dhtml.php

and that would also add on to the Extra menu ...

Or to add:
/your_secret_admin/includes/boxes/extra_boxes/backup_mysql_tools_dhtml.php

would add on to the Tools menu ...

You might also look into the module Admin Profiles. It allows you to set up accounts with menus hidden.

I greatly simplified my clients user accounts with this.

hi i didnt get the additional menu items in Extras which was added by me in zen cart version1.5.0. but it is displaying in v1.3.8..

plz help me.
