EXACTLY.. cybertai I see you read my previous post on the IH2 thread (which is why you are now correctly posting your question here)

BUT

you still have not provided ANYTHING that helps us understand your issue..

Help us help you.. This is from PAGE ONE of this support thread.. It's also in the readme.. Did you try any of the troubleshooting tips??? If not review this and the readme and after you've tried troubleshooting this based on the information we've provided, provide some DETAILS of your issue..

Troubleshooting Basics

Make sure your custom template is active. (Admin > Tools > Template Selection)

Make sure Image Handler 3 is installed. Admin > Tools > Image Handler3 > Admin. Set permissions in both your images and bmz_cache folders to 755 (eg: both of these folders need to have the same permissions. For some webhosts you may have to set these permissions to 777).

If Image Handler 3 does not work or gives you errors:

• Make sure all files are in correct location
• Make sure you uploaded ALL the Image Handler 3 files
• Make sure the files are not corrupt from bad FTP transfers
• Make sure your file merge edits are correct
• MAKE SURE YOU RE-READ THE CONFIGURATION AND USAGE SECTIONS!!!
• Make sure that there are no javascript conflicts from other programs
• Make sure that your main product image files names DO NOT contain any special characters
ie: non-alphanumeric characters such as
/ \ : ! @ # $ % ^ < > , [ ] { } & * ( ) + =

Always use proper filenaming practices when naming your images - See this document as a reference:
http://www.records.ncdcr.gov/erecords/filenaming_20080508_final.pdf\

When posting bugs/issues aboutImage Handler 3, it's a WHOLE LOT more helpful to resolve them if you post details. Just saying "it's broken" or "doesn't work" does not provide nearly enough information to help YOU resolve YOUR issue.

Please provide as MUCH information as possible including:

• The version of Zen Cart you are running
• The version of Image Handler 3 you are running (you can see this by going to “Admin > Tools > Image Handler3” – the version is displayed in the upper left hand side)
• Any other add-ons you may have also installed
• Hosting/server information (PHP versions, mySQL versions, hosting provider etc)
• The EXACT error/issue you are experiencing
• AND if you're REALLY detail oriented, tell us the install sequence/method you used to install Image Handler 3.
• Post a link (not a screen print) to a specific product/product listing page where the issue you are experiencing can be seen (Please DO NOT make folks fish through your site looking for an example of your issue)

AND this last point is important.. The volunteers who help here need to SEE what you see LIVE. A screenprint really isn’t good enough.

And a (gentle) reminder about FREE forum support:
This is ain’t Microsoft folks!
(a frequently used analogy by some to compare open source projects to commercial projects)

Like other open source projects, this support forum is manned by VOLUNTEERS (ie: unpaid folks). They are not OBLIGATED to assist here, but they do so because they WANT to. They give of their time here when their individual schedules permit. Usually the response is pretty quick 'round these parts, but when it’s not or your question has gone unanswered this may mean one of a few things:

• NO ONE has an answer to your question/issue.
(Some folks will only respond when they have something MEANINGFUL to say versus a blanket “I don’t know how to do that” kind of answer.)

• Folks are just busy and will answer if/when they can..
(family and other personal obligations, day jobs, paid jobs, etc will usually trump forum participation – this is to be expected – after all it’s unrealistic to expect that folks are sitting around this forum all day and night waiting to answer questions)

• Your question got missed. (and while I’m on this point) Your post MIGHT have been missed if your post is now a FEW pages back (like more than TWO or more pages) with no response.. Missed does NOT mean “it’s been an hour and no one responded to my question, so let me 'bump' the thread by re-posting my question again”

Anyway.. carry on.. Enjoy the new version..

• Permission - checked
• File Uploaded - checked
• Proper image name - checked

Zen Cart v1.3.9h/v1.3.9e : Image Handler3 Version: v3.0

I've read through all documentation, did everthing. Re-do everything .. yet its loading the full image instead of on-the-fly resize

Hi, not sure this is the proper place for this, if not remove it. Seems to be lots of problems resizing images to the proper size without buying photoshop or some other expensive program. I found and use a free program from sourceforge called photoscale. You can make your base images any size needed to load into IH3. One at a time or a folder full. P.S.- I LOVE IH3!!

Sorry about that. Here's the link to product listings.:
http://www.qisahn.com/sony-playstati...onsole-c-33_34

And here's a link to product page:
http://www.qisahn.com/sony-playstati...rt-only-p-1598

As you can see, both the smaller images are not resize, but are hi-res images.

And the product list somehow has got 2 hover images.

granted I just viewed it in a very old version of firefox on my mac cause pc is a bit busy right now but the hover image is not a large one and the product page image is not supposed to have the hover effect so it is fine.

I also did not see any double hovers but then like I said tis an older version.

could you post your setting you have in the images of your admin of store please.

None of your images are being served from the bmz_cache

What you are seeing is caused 90% of the time by the bmz_cache haning the wrong permissions or not existing, do you even have a bmz_cache folder setup as when i go here

http://www.qisahn.com/bmz_cache/

I get a 404 (folder/file not found) rather than a
403 (permission denied) which it should return

I agree with nigel.. It sounds like your install is not done properly.. I STRONGLY suggest that you review your install.. Go back to the readme and review the install instructions.. Make sure that you have uploaded ALL the IH3 files and folders.. Make sure you follow the instructions for using IH3 with a lightbox add-on (there are some file merges that have to be done in a VERY specific manner -- the readme outlines how this is done for Fual Slimbox and Zen Lightbox)

Nearly ALL of the issues reported with IH3 can be traced back to incorrect installation issues or images being named incorrectly..

I do have the bmz_cache folder ... it was working before.. for over a year.. then it just stop. By working i mean images coming from bmz_cache.

mine did that on 1 image too and all I did was open it in Photoshop then resave it "save for web" then replace it on the server and it behaved...not sure why it did it but that worked for me.

Aside from that no other program is really needed to resize images...just create them...lol

I see your IH3 is working on the sidebox image is it behaving elsewhere?
