discount pricing by manufacturer

in oscommerce there was a hack that you could use. basically you could load up all the products via mfg by a drop down button.

all the products would list

each product would have three fields
your current price | your sale price | and the third field would show the dicount in percentage

now you could enter a percentage like 5% off and hit enter and all the products for that mfg would be 5% off.

or you could do each product on the page separately.

is there a modiciation for that anywhere? i did not see it or is it built into zen cart.

i looked at admin > catalog > specials but i dont think that is rigth.
