Default Trying to put the cart in a frame.. is this possible?

I've been reading the FAQ's and the forums for hours now and am about to decide that Zen Cart isn't the right one for me.

I have a template design for my website in place. It may or may not change in the future, but with the RVsitebuilder built into the cpanel of my web-hosting site, that's a very easy change.. The problem I am having is this..

I'd like to place/run the shopping cart from within this website rather than it having it's own style and page. (I haven't gotten to the point yet of adding any data to my cart or to my page, it's all very new..)

Across the top of my site I have the menu, and I can edit the files to redirect the link to my shop to go to the zen cart I installed instead, but this isn't the design I want for my shop. When I click on any link in the menu, it moves to the corresponding page with a matching theme.

Am I making any sense? Is this even possible?

In case I didn't explain it right, here is a link to my site (take out the spaces) www. c4gifts .com WHen I click on "Online Store" there is a preset area that currently says "Under Construction" THAT is where I want my store set up..

    Is this possible?

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Basic answer is NO - - payment functions will break due to being in a frams

Why do you favor RVsitebuilder over templating your ZenCart??

    lol I kinda figured!

I've been using this RVSiteBuilder for a few years and am pretty comfortable with it's ease of use.. Way back when, I used to manually code HTML, and still do a little when needed, but I really like the speed of use with the builder.. lol guess that's the lazy side in me ;)

Matching most any existing html site/page is not all that difficult with a bit of experimentation and some basic knowledge of ZenCart and most is in the tutorials

As you currently have "2" posts you might check your private messages for some examples

Have a play and get to understand the cart

As php, you will soon see the advantages of it or any SSI(server side includes) environment

There are free templates available for Zen Cart which will help you get going with a custom template. You can see them in action at http://(sorry, site offline)/. Use the menu to change templates and get an idea of what they'll look like on a live site.

Thanks for the reply Afo, and for the message Kobra.. I can see the diversity that amazing people have been able to come up with with this program.

I think, if I find the time to go over more of the tutorials, I may be able to come up with something that may work.. I have been staring at them for so long today (all with a 4 yr old running around demanding my attention) and right now it may as well all be written in japanese because it's all going over my head.

I'll give it another shot when my brain isn't quite as tired or stressed.

There's a definite learning curve and you're likely to feel overwhelmed for a bit, but it's worth it.

I do not know php very well. I do know several structured compiled languages and can follow what is being done in the php code

Knowing html is a real big plus
