Where can I place a piece of HTML Code to have a graphic image show up under my information sidebox on the left hand side of zen cart?

Depending on what you seek, you might also attach it as a background image in the templates stylesheet.css fileimage show up under my information sidebox
To the ID
#informationContent and create it and the rules if it does not exist and add to the end of the file
