Zones, Sub Zones and Zone Rates

Hi I have two questions:
1. I am using 1.3.9 and basically trying to implement zones rates based on weight. However, I want to enable free shipping to my stores zone which I have made a sub zone of the country (Ireland) and apply shipping fee to all other zones in the same country
2. How do you only allow sales to be processed for two countries only e.g. Ireland and Northern Ireland (GB)

Hi, i used an addon called "zone table rate" by surf7 in conjunction with the ukzr. Do a search on UKZR or kitcorsa, who wrote a very good tutorial on how to set it up.

See it in action here http://www.k-craftteddies.co.uk

Put some thing i the basket and go to shipping estimator, only the zones i am shipping to is displayed on the pulldown menu. I only ship to the UK which includes NI.

Hi, been off the radar on this one for a while so thank you for the response. I have looked at this article again but may be I am missing something. If I want to apply two zones for the same country, so that zone 1 ships to a state/county in the country while zone 2 ships to the rest of the state/counties in the country. It seems to see the ISO name e.g. IE and apply the first zones settings even if zone 2 IE has a different sub zone. Am i making this too complicated.

Hi, been off the radar on this one for a while so thank you for the response and outlined my prob to dbltoe above.
Downloaded zone table but having done anything with it yet, just wondering if it is compatible with version 1.3.9.

but after looking at the tutorial i think this is the way to go for me will need to spend more time at it and will let ye know how all goes thanks again
