    application error Add Customer from Admin? 1.3.9

    Hello everyone,

    I am a newbie in zen cart. Recently, I am moving my store to zen cart, previously was open cart.

    I have looked to all threads about add customers from admin, but I did not found which relates to my problem.

    Hmm.. my problem is, I am using the latest zen cart 1.3.9h, and just found out about this add customers from admin and it really will save me from adding manually.

    However, after i installed as how instructed, when i looked under the tab of Customers (admin page), i did not see any ADD CUSTOMERS link

    Is it because of my zen cart version?

    I have looked that this version is for 1.3.8 , i did installed others add on and it worked good even they are 1.3.8 version.

    However, it did not work with add customers from admin add on.

    Can you help me please? I really hope someone can help me... I did looked to the .php file to see if there is similar problem with the threads i have searched and read. But seems all are fine.

    It works for me in my 1.3.9h test site. The Add Customers link wasn't there at first, but I clicked on Customers then it appeared (may have just refreshed the page).

    Oh.. nice. Hmm... Yes, I was thinking the same and did refreshing my admin page for more than hundred times. It still not appear.

    I did not yet test on zen cart Test Page.. I just directly installed it. Hmm.. do I need to change or touch something in the php files?

    I also changed the server for the files to 0755 , but still it is not visible.

    All I did was as described in the install.txt file - change the name of the admin folder in the mod to the new name of your admin folder, then drag that folder and the addresess.csv file to the root (top) directory of your store. Should work.

    Oooo.... i did read it as how you described. And i didn't change anything but now i noticed why.

    You are certainly not the first (or last) to get tripped up after renaming the admin folder. Wish the ZC team would make the admin folder name something you were required to provide at time of installation and then store it in the database so all contributions could refer to it.

    added later: well it was a thought but the more I thought about it the harder it would be to do.

    I didn't want to create a new thread for this so I'm going to use this one since it has the appropriate title

    Ok So I installed acfa and it seems to work cept for a few things. One, how do I set a password for customers? Do I need to install the Master Password Module as well?

    Also in admin>Customers>Add Customer I get these results:



    Any help is appreciated!

    It appears your new ACFA files may have been uploaded to the wrong folders. Certainly you have a language file missing or incorrectly located.

    I would try removing the add-on and reinstalling it being careful to load it per the instructions. One common problem is that folks forget that they renamed the admin folder as suggested for security reasons when installing ZenCart.

    You must also rename the admin folder of any add-on filesets BEFORE you upload them to your server. This admin folder must have the same name as the Zencart admin folder on your server.

    Once installed correctly, the password is requested on the same page as all the other customer information. With this add-on you will find that page in the admin panel under Customers-> add customer

    hmm I believe I did install it correctly. And I remember renaming the folder. Oh well I guess I'll have to re-do it to see if that works.

    Will report back in a bit.

    Those are defined in admin/includes/languages/english/add_customers.php so make sure that file is there.
