    Default Product feed importing

I recently had a client who had someone build an automatic feed importer for him that ran on a cron job. The problem was that what he designed, did NOT take the source CSV file and upload to the new specifically assigned categories and EVERY product only bumped 15% instead of segregating percentages for certain categories.

My questions is, does anyone know the best way to pull a csv file from a URL, have it read, update or add new products if necessary AND point to the new/correct category? I can't seem to find any discussions on this or any modules and my client is running zen cart so it obviously can be done.

I just purchases the auto importer module for zen cart store manager and although it seems to work almost perfectly, it does not allow category configurations and they have no documentation on detailed instructions and their support is VERY distant! (waiting 3 days now for a damn answer to a simple question)

Thanks for any info that could help me!

Any feed from another source must be reorganized into a matching ZenCart structure BRFORE importing into ZenCart

All of this must be done outside of ZenCart as in open office or excel

Ohhh, ok. This makes perfect, but bad news, sense! :)

Someone needs to develop something that just reads column headings and allows you to pull ANYthing from column X and import it into column B. Afterall, regardless of shopping cart, a csv file is STILL a csv file.

    Thanks for the info!

This is why this is open source....
One can write what they require
I believe you will find that it is not as easy as you outlined

So is the Zen Cart Manager worth the cost?

    Has anyone purchased it?

How long does it take you each day to update your products?
