    Default W3C validation

    http://www.airtightsecurityplus.com/security_equipment
    my cart (according to the page type generated by the zen cart)

    <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
    <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" dir="ltr" lang="en">

    does not pass W3C vailidation, an average page has about 75 errors on it, this does not help with search engine ranking. I am guessing that it actually works against me. Is that the correct 'DOCTYPE' at the top of page???

    Yes....
    As a default ZenCart is valid out of the box
    Any errors are those that you have added through one means or another
