making a single listing with different color options

hey guys I searched everywhere for this but couldnt find an answer.

Running: v1.3.9h

So I have some items that are same, just different color. Can I just list one item and let the customer pick a color via a drop down menu? Instead of making 14 individual items. This saves space and cleans up the site.

Also, can I make a drop down menu where the price is decreased if they order multiple quanitites of a certain item. i.e if they order 1 of the item it is $20 but if they order 2 of the same item it is $15 item?


So those are my main questions. i also wanted to know if its possible to make a coupon code that only discounts off a particular item? I tried using the coupon code and could not find a option on a particular item.

If these do not also have other options like color you can add one, two, three. etc as attributes
When creating the product do not enter a price instead select priced by attributes

How about making a coupon code for a particular item.

Like i want to make a code for $5 off item#3 only. Is that even possible?
