I have not selected zencart, yet, but am leaning in that direction. I have a web site that I am redoing and am about to bring it up, that is when I get the store done. This is for an alumni group, and we have some souvenir items, shirts, hats, pins, etc. as well as the ability to pay membership dues, make donations, and to register and pay for upcoming events. Not a whole lot of items, probaly less than 20 total. We are using SMF for the forum, and Coppermine for the photo gallery. The rest of the site was created by myself. I have been able to integrate the login process for the site with the forum and photo album. I would like to have the ablility for our users to make a single login that would also allow them to also enter transactions in our store. The users are not requied to login, there are some pages that are restriced to registered, and or member users. Can the integration with zencart be done with a moderate level of customization that a newbie could handle in a reassonable amount of time.
Second, and maybe this should be first, is zencart going to be overkill for a store with so few items. The store is only a small portion of the site and we are not looking to make a lot of money from it, it is mainly a convenience to our alumni.
