Creating steps before adding to cart

Hello,

I already have a webstore thats running very smoothly, but I want to add some new sections to it.

What I`m hoping to accomplish is a page (or series of pages, if you will), that take the customer step by step in selecting different parts (attributes) to create a custom built product.

Here is the perfect example of what I`m trying to do on Actives website.

It walks the customer through building a complete skateboard starting from the deck and finishing with the grip tape. As each part of the final product is added or modified, the price is as well and when it`s finally finished (or all the attributes are selected), it can be added to the cart.

I`d really like to accomplish this. I do know I can categorize my attributes on one page with images and price adjustments, but this is really slick and would be a nice way to introduce the new custom built wheel section of my website.

Any info would be helpful.

You're looking at a large amount of custom coding. If you are not proficient in PHP and/or Javascript, don't even think about trying to do it yourself.
