It was on HTML by default and when I created a category and then a product not WYSIWYG editor. This is my 7th website with Zen Cart and I've never experienced this. Thanks for helping. Any other ideas?

Switch to Classic Contemporary Green and see if problem still exists..
If so, this is the problem.. Ultimate Fade (which included a new javascript file) still no HTML area will show in Define Pages Editor or in EZ Pagesadmin panel/ tools/ template selection

I changed the template and yes you are correct the editor doesn't work in there either. However, I have the same Ultimate fade installed (the same way with the same javascript file) on http://visitmonolake.org/zencart/ and I have the html area editor still visible. How can this be? Thanks again for your time.

Thanks for the article. I've removed the jscript_fade file and I still have the problem. I've reviewed the link and considering it's a fresh install and then one javascript file added (but now removed) I'm not quite sure what files could possibly need to be merged. If it was a javascript issue then I would assume that by removing it my issue would be fixed. Is this correct thinking?
Thanks, Lynn
It would not hurt to reload the editors folder again in the root directory...

I have the same problem - the HTML editor is not working for 1 language, but is working for 2 ( I have a multi-language site) and I could not figure out why it is not working for 1 language.
Finaly I gave up searching and I compiled all texts in one html area and copied them as plain text to the language where the HTML was not working.
This is just to let you know that maybe you should consider a clean install.
Thank you for suggesting this. Unfortunately replacing the editors files didn't change my issue. It appears that I'll need to uninstall and do a new install. This is fine now since it's at the start of the site but if this was much later I'd be more than frustrated especially because I'm using the current version, etc.
Thanks again, lynn
I've uninstalled and installed fresh Zen Cart. nothing else added and sure enough the HTML editor does NOT work. I haven't added a template or a javascript file. It is a windows based server and it's the current version of zen cart. Ideas of why this is happening?![]()
My clean inistall of v1.5 does not allow to select HTML only Plain Text under Admin Panel, Configure, My Store, HTML Editor says None but when I click to edit - I see HTML Editor and the drop down only has one selection Plain Text - when I select Plain Text and Update - the option HTML Editor shows NONE. This my first time having this problem after installing like 4 other zencarts. Any ideas? Thanks![]()
