Login/Default User Issue

I'm a new Zenner and have been slowly working my way through the setup and configuration of my web store (vsn 1.3.9h). Most steps have gone quite smoothly and I have not run into any dead ends.

I have noticed one issue to which I have not found any discussion or solution.

When I set up the MySQL database, I created two userids: xxx_admin and xxx_buyer. Both of these ids have full permissions. I suspect that I only need one of these, but that is not the problem.

When I go to the admin login, the login is defaulted to xxx_buyer and that is possibly resolved by my note above.

However, when I go to the shopping cart itself as a buyer and go to create a new customer, the customer/login is also defaulted to xxx_buyer. I would think that this field would be defaulted to blank.

What have I missed?

Your mysql user ids should never be visible in your cart. And Zen Cart doesn't present defaults for the admin or customer login.

This sounds like the autocomplete function in your browser working overtime and presenting you with data that you previously entered in similar fields during installation.

Not sure how that got turned on, but that was definitely the problem.
