    Default Sloooow :(

    Hi all

I'm developing a new Zen Cart site for a customer. I've noticed that it has become very slow. I've been playing with it for about a week trying to work out what's slowing it down. Basically I did everything suggested here:

    http://blog.rubikintegration.com/200...ization-guide/

We are still playing with compressing the css files, but I don't think that's it. I don't think it can be images as there is only about 30 products on there so far.

    The site is

    u:monster
    p:monster

Can anyone spot anything or suggest why it might be slow? Someone here said that the Monster templates where bad, should I try removing it?

For some reason yours is only showing

    Code:
Parse Time: - Number of Queries: 177 - Query Time: 0.0403333254089
where a normal display would be
    Code:
    Parse Time: 0.394 - Number of Queries: 624 - Query Time: 0.108907896118
Might try swoitching to the classic template for an evaluation

Thanks. I've done that. It's broken, but seems quicker, but not a lot quicker. The parse time now shows.

Oh I forgot to say. It's currently hosted on my reseller account with Clook. We will be moving it to a dedicated host (probably a Zen accredited host).

It is not truly slow - - not truly fast either owing to the number of querries being low

You have too many images that are too large in byte size loading on what seems every page

IH2 only addresses the standard ZenCart product imagery

ok thanks, So do you mean the slider at the top? and the logo? The only other images are product images, which addmitadly are on the large size compared to most ecommerce stores. But they are no more than your average blog page.

Is there a way to flush out all the product images and see if the speed increases?

Yes now that you switched back I see it is a slider with about 12 images averaging 20KB each

But also the "simple" template images for add to cart and details are called multiple times and are 12KB for such a simple image

You can see the results if you go here
    http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/

But you will need to disable the authorization first
