I want to do a sort of "one-deal-per-day" setup, using ZC 1.3.9h (a fresh install).

To do the "expose an offer" feature, I will set the products to be featured for one day, then expire, using the Featured Products control. Cleaning up afterwards is not a big deal (maybe we'll price them absurdly, then use a timed sale to discourage purchase when they're off feature)

The issue I have is how to keep the items from showing ahead of time.

If I say "to appear 10th May 2011", they appear as purchasable products in their category, with a "will be available 10th May" description.

If I toggle the item to inactive, it goes away, but then I'm afraid it won't come back when it's time to be the featured item.

Is there a "do not show upcoming items in the category listing" flag I'm missing? Along with "do not show sold out ones either?"

Alternatively, is there some correct procedure for setting up a product that should become visible only at the time it becomes featured?
