    Default Version 1.3.9h - what's included?

I have recently loaded a clean install of 1.3.9h but cannot find out which mods are included and which aren't, is there a list available which shows, what has been integrated in the release of the version number 1.3.9h, or how do we confirm the mods updates. Sorry if it's a lame question, but I'm new to all this configuration, and upgrading.

When you say "modules", are you takling about ADD-ONS that can be loaded after an install of ZC is complete?

The 1.3.9X series hasn't added any significant new functionality/features - mostly security upgrades and bug fixes.

Thanks! Yes as I've been scouring the module add ons, I would like to add, and not sure, if they have been included in the 1.3.9.h release already, is there a way of tracking the modules that are already integrated as part of the zencart 1.3.9h by version numbers, as when i find a module, with a version number and dated 2009/10, I'm kind of wondering what to do with some of the modules, are they a step forward on improvement or backwards.

Especially with suspected security issues popping up on the tell a friend, and the lack of HTML translation, which seems more like a switch is off, but isn't, that i can find.
Some of the modules ought to be in the package as standard, but they are not, like the redeem points module, which is very good.

Sorry if the questions are lame, it's just a struggle for new members, finding ones way around the zencart features as there are many. Though I'm waiting for the 2nd edition of the book, out in May, which will help.

Stevesh:quote mostly security upgrades and bug fixes. Thanks for that it helps.

Reading the doc files didn't help much, I read a list of features not all, which was listed on the forum, but it doesn't indicate any old module versions which are integrated as standard in the 1.3.9h, just a feature, in which there are several modules to choose from for upgrading.

The Tell-a-Friend spam thing has been a problem further back than 1.3.9, and the solution is to leave the switch in the default position that requires the visitor to log in to use it.

I'm not sure what the HTML translation problem you're referring to is, but there was a bug in 1.3.9g that affected HTML.

Everyone has his/her own idea about what mods should be integrated. I have no use for the Redeem Points mod, for example. Personally, I like the developers' strategy of keeping the core code as lightweight as possible.

With very few exceptions, if a mod exists in Free Software Add Ons, that functionality isn't included in the core code.

There are a few mods, like Improved Attributes Controller, which are incorporated in v1.3.9, but nearly all of them that were useful for v1.3.8 will still be useful. Read the support thread for any mods you are uncertain about - there should be good info there, or else you can ask the people who actually follow/support that mod.

Thanks guys its most helpful! With regards to TTF and Product Review, there appears to be no HTML only text, my installation was a clean 1.3.9h load not an update from 1.3.8, I have also seen others on the forum asking about the HTML box for those two modules. both only showing and sending text at the moment which is a little untidy.
It doesn't really bother me just now, as i have more important things to do. Both are working fine. I did leave the False switch on the Tell a friend, so I haven't encountered any spam.

    Thanks again for the information!
