Backend Layout gone all of a sudden?!

Hi there,

unfortunately, I just encountered a problem with the layout of my admin area. After setting up my store (1.3.9h), I started to add categories and products and everything went smoothly.

Just now while adding another product my cat touched the keyboard and all of a sudden the entire backend layout is gone... no graphics, no tables, just plain, unformatted text.

Does anybody have a clue what might have happened? I mean there's not even an option to change the admin layout, so surely a few key strokes couldn't delete all of it?

On a side note: I didn't have my FTP client open at the time and the frontend hasn't changed at all. The problem is also visible on my other computer, so it can't be coming from changing browser display settings accidentally.

I'd really appreciate if somebody would take their time to help out a distressed newbie. :)

Sounds like some admin files have been deleted.
You have two options...Spend time trying to find what
files/folders, if any, are missing OR start from scratch
and reinstall zencart.
TIP: If initial installations of zencart are not exactly
spot on, as they should be, time and trouble will
be encountered further down the road.

There's no way I know to delete files on a remote server using just a browser (and not FTP), but I might try re-uploading all the admin folders and files, overwriting what's there.

Yes, the weirdest thing is, that it shouldn't be possible to facilitate and changes of that magnitude via a few keystrokes. But as I said, my FTP client wasn't even open at that point in time.

The problem is, that I can't just upload files, because I'd probably overwrite things I already changed (this is a multi-language setup).

I'll attach a screenshot so you understand what the problem is all about, that might make it easier to understand.

Seems your stylesheet and/or javascript isn't loading, or you're clicking on the menu links which open the alternate-navigation instead of the hover menus.

Start by resetting your browser settings for javascript to allow javascript to run.

Yes DrByte, that's exactly what it looks like. Thanks a lot for the link, too, but the solutions there didn't help unfortunately.

I don't know how to reset my browser's JS, but I can assure you this error occurs on FF, IE and Safari on different computers, so it can't be a local problem I assume.

Would it help if I posted the screenshot's source code, too?
