Default Passing Customer's Information to PayPal

    Hi,
I am testing my new store, and I have found that when using PayPal Express checkout, customer data such as name, addresss, etc. are not passed to PayPal, and customer has to enter them for paypal (if not loggin to paypal account).
Is that the normal behaviour, or should I check for any wrong setting?
    Using zencart last version 1.3.9h.
    Thank you in advanced,
    Xavier.

If the customer hasn't logged in to your store, then there's no address information to pass to PayPal.
And, then if they log into their PayPal account, there's no need to pass address information, since it's already in their PayPal account.

Otherwise it sounds like you've made significant alterations to core code, making it very difficult to help you figure out what's broken.

Thank you DrByte. I have made the test with a logged customer, and no data is passed... data should be passed, true?
This is my first post after one month of using this forum to build my store, which is almost ready to launch. This is the first time I have not found an answer to my question. So I would like to thank you and many other forum users for your/their (indirect) help!
    Best regards,
    Xavier.

I have found the solution to my problem. I did merge first and last name fields in only one (using only first name), and the payment module considered that the information was incomplete for Paypal (which indeed was).
Now the problem is that accented Spanish characters are not interpeted well by Paypal. I have found DrByte's answare in this forum (http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...79301&page=3):

"If you want the problem to go away, you'll need to use the same character set in your database as you use in your language files and as you have your PayPal account set up to use. If they're not matching, then you'll have problems. "

I have checked the three charsets and are the same: in language files, in paypal language settings and in the database: ISO-8859-1 (in hte database listed as latin1_general_ci).

Any ideas of where could I solve the problem?
    Thanks in advance,
    Xavier.
