Change products title length problem

Hi all,it's my first post in zencart.com, i'm a guy from China, i' setting up my store to sell some goods, and i found it's the best place to talk about something about zencart with you all from all over the world, keep posting...

Hope it's the right place to post this

I just met a problem about my products title length, it's limited by 64 characters(including space) when showed in list or products page, but actually it's more than that length, where can i change the setting to apply with my actual products title?or will i have to alter the code somewhere?

1. click on MySQL
2. click on your database name
3. click on products_descriptions
4. edit products_name
5. edit Length/Values
6. change from 64 to whatever you like
7. save

NOTE: you will want to change all tables that utilize the products_name field:
products_description
orders_products

anywhere that the products_name is stored needs to have the same change made on the length ...

I know this is an old thread....I have changed the database using phpmyadmin as instructed to 100 VARCHAR but the length remains unchanged....what am I doing wrong??

if i set product field name length to 500 from 64
is there any side effect of it?

The bigger question is why do you think you would need a title that long?
