Help! Email Configuration Problem on Windows server

Hi everyone,
I just installed zencart to my windows server, which has the email server using "hmail" as well. I configured email function in zencart as smtpauth and proper smtp server name. The problem is that I never can use "send email" function under "tool"-"send email". Is that because "send email" function is only available for linux/unix server? Even so, the new registered customer also can't receive welcome email. For both scenarios, the admin of zencart always report sending email successfully.That is so weird. Could anyone help me? Please! Thanks a lot!!! Btw, is there anyone know how to change the welcome email template? Thx again!

I use v1.3.9 now. I also checked the thread below:

It seems 1.3.9 has fixed that problem. But the mail function still doesn't work. Anyone can help? PLEASE!

I opened the techsupp.php page today and edited the $myemail' line with my test email address,following thread: http://www.zen-cart.com/forum/showth...-mail+settings

Then I run www.xxxx.com/.../techsupp.php and enter soemthing for test. Finally I got email from the server which include text below:

This email is a simple verification test to demonstrate that your server's "PHP" method for sending mail is working properly. If you have received this message, then it is likely that your Zen Cart shop can easily use the "PHP" method for Email Transport in your Admin->Configuration->Email Options area.


I am happy that it seems the php method is fine for me already. But unfortunately when I configure the email option as php, "send mail" still doesn't work at all. GOD, could someone help me? I have spent 2 full days on this and read all related threads in the forum, but still can't solve it. PLEASE!

Thank you guys so much! It works now by switching using HTML format sending email" as false. Then questions comes, how can I send HTML format email later? Any idea?

That is so weird, when I switch html function back to true, the whole email function works now. God! Maybe it has seen me work on it too many hours LoL. Anyway thanks everyone helped!
