Email out for one page does not work

Hello all, for some reason, I cannot send emails from tools>email to any address. it just says "send email failed"

I checked with my host and everything is correct. my other email functions work. when accounts are created, orders submitted. that works

but when I try to initiate an email to customer. it fails
I have attached my email settings here for anyone to review

is there something else I should have configured

i did, nothing jumped out at me

where is the mail service log. maybe that will tell me why

click on phpMyadmin, then click on your database, find the table called email_archive

the test emails are not there, it appears that they are not leaving zc

but all my others are(checkout, order, etc) but the manual emails are not

You made the mistake of hosting with GoDaddy, and around 6-8 weeks or so ago they changed their mail system to only allow SMTP Authorised emails to be sent out, disallowing the standard Sendmail protocol.

Your SMTP settings in Zen Cart will need to include the User Name for the email address plus the password.

i am actually hosted by hostgator.

my smtp setting do include the username and password

are you saying that it shoudl be "username+password) but then how are the other emails getting out and not the manual ones

nothing changes..

All my other emails work find. is there a file that manages the manual funtions independently

I said GoDaddy, because that's who the domain was registered through.
