How to do Linked Attributes....

Hi,

I'm wondering if there is a relatively simple way or tutorials available to create linked attributes.

Here's an example of what I mean by linked attribute.

We have several plaques on a number of items.

I have an attribute Option name set up called:

Plaque Type:

and then Option Values set up like:-

Gold Finished aluminum Plaque 80 x 20mm 65chrs

Polish Solid Brass Plaque 100 x 40mm 120chrs

etc

I then have two other Attribute Option Names are called 'Standard Plaque Text' and 'Large Plaque Text'.

This is less than ideal because customers can select the cheaper plaque and then go and write in the 'Large Plaque Text Field'.


I somehow have to make it work so when the customer selects a plaque the relevant sized Plaque Text attribute appears.

As said does anyone know how this is done or if there is any documentation on how to make it happen?

With the current Zen Cart, you will need to break the two plaques into two products and add the appropriate attributes for lettering to them.
It should also make it less confusing for the shopper.
