links are resetting ZENID and loosing login or shopping cart

Hello,

I am working on a draft site here
http://174.121.133.186/~moojicol/

If I add something to the cart, then go to any link on the page I lose my shopping cart or login.

Header is made with CMS Made Simple and Sidebox Anywhere (http://www.studio-owens.com/blog/CMS...kin-Helper.htm)
I am using an old 1.3.8 template

I have tested by removing the CMS Made Simple from the template, removing the Sidebox Anywhere, changed to Classic Contemporary Green template; and used different browsers and computers, But the problem is the same.

Server OS: Linux 2.6.34.6
Database: MySQL 5.1.52

If anyone has anything I can try to fix this with it would help allot.

Well, I get as far as the Create Account/Login page without dropping the cart contents - and can go back to Home and then to Shopping Cart without losing the cart contents.

Its because you have hardcoded the zenids in the top section

hover over all the links on that page do the zenids at the top end with 9717?

look using a different browser they should change

I get 2 different zenids on the same page, the big top slogan banner thingie all the zen links on there give me one zenid (if I check in another browser I get the same zenid so you have borked that by hardcoding the zenid in)

whereas the links in the white section under the greeny yellow bar give a completely different zenid to the one at the top, (and when i check in another browser the zenid for this bottom section is different again which is correct)

When I add something to the cart, then go to the root directory or any page with out a zenID (http://174.121.133.186/~moojicol/ or http://174.121.133.186/~moojicol/ind...=shopping_cart) it loses the cart

e.g.
if you add something to the cart you will get an address like
index.php?main_page=shopping_cart&zenid=963fbea463d9e3b46a171f82aa396a59
THen if you go to
index.php?main_page=shopping_cart
straight away you lose cart contents

same with login's
simply need to go to the root directory to lose your login.

Anyway I have given up on this site completely now and I starting from the beginning somewhere else.

Have you tried using a proper domain name instead of merely an IP address?

(Session) cookies are handled differently in various browsers when IP addresses are used instead of domain names. This is likely your main problem.

That maybe was the problem. I just setup the site as it was step by step on a server with a domain and it works good/no problems.
I will remember this for next time though, and thank you for your answer.
