Adding a logo/header

I'm really stuck on this one.

I am trying to put my logo at the top of my zen cart page. I have followed the instructions to letter (as far as I can see) and no logo appears on my site. I am attempting to do this by setting up a custom template called Elly.

I also tried to install a couple of the open source templates - Bluecart, Ocean and FutureZen, but none of them make any difference to the layout of the page. I don't understand it at all. I have been into Admin and selected the template and done the second step updating step.

You may need to check with your hosting provider. There is some type of permission error that is preventing access to your template directory.

Makes sense, now I come to think about it, as when I try to preview any template, I get:-

Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /shop/includes/templates/Elly/images/scr_template_default.jpg on this server.
Apache Server at www.ellybooks.co.uk Port 80
