Hi,
The cookie that holds the cart contents should be cleared when you reach the checkout confirmation page. Have you made any modifications to your checkout flow? What version of Zen Cart are you using and what add-ons do you have installed?
Christian.
My version is 1.38a and i have many modules installed. The only one with modded checkout is fast checkout by numinix. I'm searching hours to find a solution. My site is http://www.e-matrix.gr
Take time to upgrade to 139h for important security reasons and vicious hacks...
Take a look at #2 here:

We are using the Fast & Easy Checkout with Keep Cart without any problems. On both an older site with an older version of FEC and also a new 1.3.9h site with the latest version of FEC. Have you tried it with a different browser to make sure it's not a cache issue?
Thank you for your help but I can't find a solution. I've tried other browsers and i have the same problem. I can't upgrade my version because most of my files are custom and i don't have time to merge. Only God can help me....
Once a Visitor logs in shouldn't the cookie get cleared as the cart contents are stored in the database and the purpose is served ??
There might be a setting that needs to be changed in your admin configuration. What are the settings in admin>configuration>sessions? These are mine:
Cookie Domain True
Force Cookie Use False
Check SSL Session ID False
Check User Agent False
Check IP Address False
Prevent Spider Sessions True
Recreate Session False
IP to Host Conversion Status true
Keep Vistors Cart True
Days Before Cart Expires 365
Keep Cart Secret Key xxxxx
Unrelated to Keep Cart stuff ...That should almost ALWAYS be set to True.
Leaving it set to false could put you at risk of session hijacking.
There are RARE server configurations that cause the store to break if it's set to True, and thus the option to set it to False is offered ... but still has the same caveat. MUCH BETTER is to fix the bad server configuration if you care about customer privacy and security.
