Default Trying to set up Universal Parts

I'm new around here, and am building my first e-commerce site for a client. I'm using 1.3.9h Zencart, just freshly installed.

    Here's the scenario:

    I have a product (1/8" skidplate)

I have 5 different models of car this fits on, and 4 generations of each car.

Nearly each model of car, and nearly each generation of car has a turbo and a non-turbo option, as well as automatic and manual transmissions.

I'd like to make a product description that's universal, then apply it to all the cars. Then I'd like to have option choices of turbo or non-turbo, and another option group of automatic or manual transmission.

I'd like the part number to be singular to each possible option, so that by the store owner being given the part number, he can tell what car and options were chosen.

Ex: 01CT018M would be car 01, generation c, turbo, product code, and m for manual transmission.

    How do I accomplish this?

With some difficulty and a lot of custom code. Zencart won't do anything like that out of the box.

Why does this sound like I'm going to have to become a programmer to create a storefront? I just want to avoid putting in the same part description 100+ times.

Like Steve said. This is not something that Zen Cart in built to do out of the box.

Zen Cart is a general platform, You don't have to become a programmer to build a store front. You are asking for a very delicate coding that will take hours if not weeks to code.

Zen Cart needs a lot of custom work to work for Automotive stores.
