New User-need HELP PLS with set-up!

Im a new user for the Zen Cart... and so far Ive just been winging-it with the set up... but I can not figure out how to set-up and config the shopping cart or change the homepage! Ive looked and search and tried everything I could find for admin controls... Pls Help!

You don't mention if you've read the Tutorials/FAQ or Wiki for answers to your problem(s). See links at top of this page.

You'll need to be specific as to where, exactly, you are having problems with the set-up but let me ask you this; "Have you first created a database for Zen Cart to connect to?" It is a separate step done from within your Hosting Control Panel.

Yes, and I am able to access my Zen Cart directly from my hosting panel...
I did skim through the FAQ and tutorials but couldnt find what I needed after 15min... so then I came here Lol...
On the main page is the welcome msg from Zen for example... I cant find where to go to get rid of that... I went to the define pages editor under main page, but it only allows me to add information?... Im new to xhtml and have a basic understanding of it, but all those files and such are very confusing for me!
Another example would be the shopping cart... I have no define pages editor page for that at all! I tried to DL it under the free software thing at Zen's main page... but then I couldnt figure out how to get it to actually work on my cart...
