Various people suggest hiding the navigation for landing pages, so that you can funnel customers to conversion. Is this a good idea for a zencart-only website, where customers aren't going to get distracted by anything other than buying something else from the store? Do I want to do everything possible to keep them focused on the original widget they clicked through to find, and not notice anything else?

If so, how would I hide the navigation on certain pages? Some of the landing pages might be EZ pages or category pages.

When I use category pages as landing pages, I can set them up as subcategories under a disabled category called Landing Pages, and link-copy all the relevant products to it, and that works except that the breadcrumb in the header shows:

Home :: Landing Pages :: These Widgets

Is there a way to disable the breadcrumb for a category page? Am I going to need to just create top-level categories for my landing pages to avoid this problem?
