Default I am happy to stick with 1.3.8a, it works but must I upgrade?

I have a smallish site that runs on 1.3.8a since 2008 with a Zipskin and a number of mods including an old SEO urls BETA mod which I finally got working well along with an old protx direct mod which does the job with sagepay!

It was hacked once a couple of years back (I think PHP4 and incorrect permissions were to blame for a basic hack) but since runs on PHP5 with correct permissions and have renamed the /admin and it has been fine for a while.

I fear that upgrading will screw my mods up up and cause more headache than necessary. I am thinking if it aint broke don't fix it

What do you think? Am I asking for trouble?

I have daily backups, if it does get messed up again then I could restore and finally upgrade?

It's your customers security that you are risking not just the hassle of rebuilding your site

There are several vulnerabilities in your version that are widely know in the hacker communities

Do not upgrade at your own risk

Thanks - and have you any knowledge on SEO URLS 3.0 BETA and Protx Direct v2.6.2. I guess I would have to install new, paid-for alternatives?

Or does any of this come as part of 1.3.9h?
