    Default includes folders

Hello everyone, i am new to this so please forgive me for asking the obvious.
I have been installing mods but when i do i am asked to put the includes folder in the root of my director or within a certain folder, i have to many includes folders, can i rename some in order to have less includes folders, it makes it hard to know exactly where to place certain edits

    Thanks anyone. :)

eh you should have only one!
if you upload a "includes" folder to a directory that already has an "includes" folder all the contents of the new includes should auto go into the excisting includes folder?

    Snaggle.......
You should NEVER have over ONE includes folder in your root directory. Creating more actually SHOULD be impossible, as it should be caught as a duplicate. But, sounds like it may have let you by with it though, if you have several includes folders. The really bad thing is, is that this is eventually GOING to break your site..............if it hasn't already......?
You need to find the ORIGINAL includes folder, then copy all the files into it from the other includes' folder(s)...........then DELETE the duplicates.

Take a look here, and download this file:

    http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?ma...roducts_id=298

This shows you how the "flow" of Zen-Carts' directories are laid out. It should be of some help to you.................

Also, keep in mind that when uploading modules to your server via FTP client, if you click on the public_html folder on your remote side to select it, then double-click an includes folder on your local side to upload it, then the FTP software should NOT copy ANY folder that already exists................such as the includes folder that's being uploaded...................it should ONLY transfer the CONTENTS of that folder..........not the folder itself.

If your FTP client duplicates folders............especially if it didn't ask you first, you either have your settings wrong, or your FTP client is JUNK. Personally, I like the FireFTP add-on for FireFox. It's never duplicated anything I didn't want, and more importantly..............it's never missed, deleted, or corrupted any files during transfer...................even VERY large transfers.

I hope this all made sense to you, and that this can help.

But, until you get used to Zen-Cart a little more, you REALLY should take time to read the Tutorials/FAQ's and Wiki sections, to which links to both are in the top right corner of ANY Zen-Cart forum page.

I think he has somehow nested "includes folders" inside each other... (not following module install procedures correctly).
