Default Setting up a subdomain or Not?

I have a site for embroidery. bearlymakinit.com All set up and working fine. I have some quilts I want to sell, but I do not want them to show up on the embroidery store. What is the best way to handle this?

I have set up a subdomain quilts.bearlymakinit.com. Now I am lost. Do I install zencart 1.3.9 again under the subdomain and set it up like a new store? Or are there certain php's I add to this folder to get it to work to add the images and information? And yes you are dealing with a dummy.

Or is there another way to handle this?

Yes, that is what you would do being that you do not want them in their own category on your main shop

or if you do want them in the main store but hidden there is an addon in the free software section to hide a catagory which would keep them out of sight but still allow a purchase through the store.

I have the subdomain set up. I have Gingham Blue template installed. My problems are that none of the pictures are showing up. When I add an item to the store no image shows up. I have checked the permissions. I also cannot get the gingham background to show up.

    bearlymakinit.com - the original store
    quilts/bearlymakinit.com/quilts is the subdomain store.

I thought by using the same template for both I wouldn't have any problems.

    Any ideas?

That form is not a subdomain
The correct form for a subdomain that has been defined would be
    Code:
    quilts.bearlymakinit.com
Which I suspect is part of your problem

Okay. Softaculous set it up. I deleted it and installed it again. Now it is quilts.bearlymakinit.com. I still have no pictures. Any ideas now?

I am not going to make any changes until I can see pics. I already wasted about 12 hours trying to get the last one working.

    Trying this
    http: // quilts.bearlymakinit.com/images/categories/100.JPG

    It displays this
    Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /images/categories/100.JPG on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

I think Donal's suggestion is a better option. You're going to all the hassle of a complete installation on a subdomain, when using the hide category mod would be a lot easier.
