Image sizing help plz

Good morning, I sell digital images that are 1200x1800 when printed it equals a 4x6...can someone plz help me figure out the best size to put up for items? I only want the 1 picture per item...the thumbnail and be small as long as they can click it and see it normal size. everything I have tried is fat and chubby..and very blurry.

Have you tried Image Handler 2? I use it on the Holzheimer site in my sig. It's a free download from the Free Software Add Ons section.

Fairly simple. You create ONE size image for the item (large). IH2 handles creating the thumbnail and medium on the fly. It will also watermark the images automatically for you (you create the watermark image). I suggested you check the Holzheimer site because she sells photos.

There are instructions included with IH2. You will have new settings in admin>configuration>images to control the behavior of IH2.

@afo - you may want to look at updating the javascript for your ih2 as you are using the very original version, where the js is buggy or has issues in in opera, chrome, safari and IE9, updating the js imagehover file should fix that



@LilBeesImages - Image handler will automatically create all three sizes of images (thumbnail, medium and large), you just add your product and add the product image as normal and image handler does the rest.
optimising and resizing the image before it goes up is a good idea but not essential in most cases if using image handler, its a good idea because it cuts your server space usage and ocasionally if the image is large (over 900kb) the scripts will time out.
