    Default Required Options Field Not Displaying

    I have two stores on the same server and both stores have stopped displaying the options/attributes for products. The options are required so when a customer clicks "add to cart" they get an error message that they need to select an option, but they can't see the options to select one. I made some changes recently and there must be a problem there but I cannot find the problem. I have tried restoring all of the files I made changes to but nothing corrects the problem and I didn't make the same changes to both stores so it's odd that they would both have the same problem. I've checked my debug logs on both stores and there isn't anything new. I viewed the web page source code and the options block is showing in the code. I've checked the CSS and can't find a problem there either.

    Can anyone direct me to how to track down the file that is causing the problem?

    And what were you doing last to occur these changes?

    The last thing I did was yesterday - I installed the module Confirmation Email Address Entry to both stores. I have since uninstalled it on one of the stores to see if that corrected the problem and it didn't.

    I received an order on the 21st that had an option so it was working at that time. Over the weekend I installed a module called Big Chooser to one store and worked on some language files on both stores. I also installed some new bottom banners to one store.

    I have clicked on this page:
    Do you remember touching this file?
    Use WinMerge to compare a stock .php file with the one on your server..
    includes/classes/shopping_cart.php
    Use this tutorial to locate this wording, might be the fix with wrong coding:

    1. Search for this in the bottom left hand side
    2. Click for drop down menu >
    3. then click, admin/catalog
    4. then search

    I double checked that file and it hasn't been changed since 01/30/2011 when I installed the 'h' update.

    Thank you for taking your time to help me with this.

    I made changes to that file when I installed the Big Chooser module, but I tried to restore it from my backup and it didn't resolve the issue. I'm sure the backup file was working because I received on order with a product that uses options on the 21st.

    please check this: switch your all business template to the class view
    admin panel/ tools/ template selection
    Switch to the classic contemporary green and see if the error occurs..

    Good idea. When I swith to the Classic templat the options show and I can put the item in my shopping cart. Well at least I've narrowed down where to look for the problem.
